Feeling safe is where change begins.

Nervous-system-informed therapy to help you feel more grounded, connected, and alive, with more energy for who and what matters.

You’re not broken. Your nervous system is just doing its job.

If you feel anxious, overwhelmed, exhausted, or disconnected from yourself, and you’re not entirely sure why, you’re not alone, and you’re not doing anything wrong. Your body is responding to something. Your nervous system shapes how you experience yourself, your relationships, and the world around you. Your nervous system is always scanning for safety, and when it senses even subtle threat, it moves into the protective patterns it learned long ago.

At The Therapy Studio, we go beyond the surface to understand your physiology, getting to the root of the challenge. Together, we’ll learn the language your nervous system has been speaking all along, so instead of asking “what’s wrong with me?” you can begin asking, “what is my body trying to tell me?”

The approach

A different kind of therapy

Our work together is grounded in Polyvagal Theory, trauma-informed care, and neuroscience. Rather than focusing only on symptom relief, we focus on building your capacity, restoring the energy that’s been quietly spent on survival, so you have more of yourself available for the life, work, and relationships you care about.

This isn’t about fixing you. It’s about helping you understand yourself with more curiosity and less self-judgment, so you can move out of survival mode and back into connection, with yourself, and with the people who matter most.

Kim Reed

Your Personal Nervous System Translator

I work with adults and couples navigating anxiety, chronic stress, burnout, trauma, life transitions, and relationship challenges, including women navigating separation, divorce, or high-conflict dynamics. Many of the people I work with appear to have it all together on the outside, while privately feeling stretched thin, stuck, or disconnected. If that sounds familiar, you’re in the right place.

A nervous system check-in

How are you arriving today?

Choose the state that feels closest, and learn a little about what your body might be asking for.

In this state your body reads the moment as safe. You can think clearly, feel your feelings without being consumed by them, and stay connected to the people around you. This is the state therapy helps you return to more easily and more often.

What your body may be asking for: to notice this, so it becomes familiar.

Anxiety, racing thoughts, irritability, overthinking, perfectionism, staying busy, bracing for what might go wrong. These are protective strategies, not flaws. Your nervous system sensed threat and mobilized energy to handle it.

What your body may be asking for: movement, slower breath, and a sense that it’s safe to stop scanning.

Numbness, shutdown, disconnection, procrastination, or feeling like the energy you know is in there just isn’t accessible. This is your body protecting you by pulling back, often after a long stretch of survival mode.

What your body may be asking for: gentle warmth, small amounts of connection, and no pressure to push.

More regulation. More connection. More you.

Life doesn’t have to feel like something you’re constantly bracing against. Therapy can help your nervous system move out of survival mode and into greater safety, so you have more energy, more clarity, and more of yourself to bring to the people and things you love.
